Salary Range:

$54,600 - $122,100

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

If so, Organization 035431, Student Intern Programs, is currently seeking a highly motivated Employment, Staffing, and Recruiting professional to serve as the On-Roll Program Specialist for Sandia’s Student Intern Programs!

The selected candidate will provide guidance to current program participants, as well as participate in developing and implementing the strategic direction of the Sandia Student Intern Program.

On any given day, one may be called upon to:

+ Serve as a main point of contact and Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all on-roll program processes, operations, and requirements for interns, mentors, and managers specific to the current intern population—over 1300+ students annually; answer and respond to questions and address issues from HR Solutions and other aligned organizations

+ Work on the development of new intern programs that would support providing work experience with a focus on academics and prepare students for future Sandia employment, using Sandia’s intern talent pipeline

+ Provide guidance and leadership to on-roll program associate, while partnering with the Program Lead, Hiring Specialist and California SIP Team

+ Assist with strategy development, staff selection and training, and address work priorities and partnership needs

+ Manage and approve targeted intern communications in alignment with the Student Intern Program (SIP) calendar that help administer on-roll intern processes; approve Manager and Intern Connections

+ Act as the intern policy and requirements SME for all student related on-roll processes and procedures

+ Lead and administer a broad set of activities (audits, approvals for intern movement, eligibility reviews, reclassifications, conversions, intern transitions, position changes, and tracking academic information) related to current high school, undergraduate, and graduate level internships and student fellows

+ Partner with HR Solutions on intern Virtual Work and Telecommuting agreements and support notifications to interns on processes, as needed

+ Act as the content SME for all HR Website SIP on-roll information and KBAs, engage with the team and Lead to inspire changes and maintain appropriate guidance for interns, managers, mentors, and office professionals supporting the internship

+ Collaborate with IT professionals and Process Specialists to develop new ways to manage student processes within Sandia applications

+ Ensure application of program eligibility standards, develop and publish periodic reports, and analyze key program metrics and effectiveness; owner of the intern experience survey and align with the SIP functional strategy with intent to identify pipeline students and increase intern conversion

+ Partner closely with line management, students, and other human resources staff including the Recruiting, Staffing, HR Business Partners, E&LR, and HR Solutions

+ Lead, partner, and support special events for interns, and special program-related projects

+ Maintain information for Student Intern Programs New Employee Orientation sessions

+ Act as the SME for all student on-roll issues and concerns outside of normal processes and procedures

Qualifications We Require:

+ A Bachelor's degree in n Human Resources, Business, Management, or a related field, plus 2 years related experience; or equivalent experience and/or achievements that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the jo

+ The ability to acquire and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance

Qualifications We Desire:

+ A Master's degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, or a related field

+ SHRM or PHR certification

+ Knowledge of employment law and/or HR business practices

+ Experience administrating intern or student programs

+ Knowledge of EEO and OFCCP employment laws and requirements

+ Experience with HR systems such as PeopleSoft

+ Strong oral and written communication skills

+ Demonstratable knowledge of MS Office, including the ability to use excel to perform business analytics, create data for reports, and conduct audits

Security Clearance:
