Job Description

The Substrate Wet Process R&D Supply Chain Engineer:

  • Works with suppliers to develop and adopt first-of-a-kind processing tools to Intel and field tests tools to pass performance specifications.
  • Works with suppliers to define requirements and holds suppliers accountable for their manufacturing process flow to meet quality, reliability, cost, yield and manufacturability requirements.
  • Design and synchronize the networks and processes that move raw materials and supplies into production facilities, transform them into finished goods, and distribute products to customer markets Roles can include maintaining quality standards and systems, creating relevant specifications to minimize variability and subjectivity to align with operational and supplier capability requirements.
  • Gather Market Intelligence related to your field and develop strategies that enable Intel to influence supplier roadmaps and have suppliers able to deliver needed capabilities.
  • Conducts studies relative to cost control, process control, and production yield and implements plans and programs to optimize supply chain.
  • Drives continuous process and quality improvements.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
  • Candidate must possess at least one of the following 3 degrees; plus, the years of experience required for each degree in the areas specified below:

1- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or related field of study with 6+ years of relevant experience.

2- Master's Degree in Engineering, Science, or related field of study with 4+ years of relevant experience.

3- Ph.D. in Engineering, Science, or related field of study with 2+ years of relevant experience.

Expertise Areas:

  • Module experience in one or more of PVD, wet cleans, plasma cleans/ etch, electrolytic and plating, dry-film lamination, and metrology.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Commodity Management and Engineering experience.
  • Cleanroom experience.
  • Program management experience.
  • Expertise in problem-solving facing a difficult environment, or dealing with difficult customers and/or suppliers.
  • Familiarity with P/C Specs participation in supplier working groups and disposition of supplier change control.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration degree (MBA).
  • Experience with developing ROIs and should cost modeling with finance.

Inside this Business Group

Manufacturing and Product Engineering (MPE) is responsible for test development across product segments, supporting 95% of Intel's revenue. We deliver comprehensive pre-production test suites and component/physical debug capabilities to enable high quality, high volume manufacturing.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
