As the Super Compute Platform (SCP) is embarking on a journey to innovate the AI and HPC architectures to propel Intel to a leadership position, and execute on our mission, to help solve humankinds most challenging problem, the Super Compute Platform (SCP) needs to evolve and grow. For this we are seeking a Supercomputing Fabric Software Architect to join our team. The goal of this organization is to become more efficient, more adaptable, and fully in tune with customers and market needs, to establish a market leadership position within the next few years. Under SCP, we are building a new SCP Fabrics team to architect the network and fabrics used to scale our future components to a functional cluster, as desired by key customers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Architects end to end system software for a specific technology, product/platform, or market segment, including software structure and bounding box, firmware, drivers, frameworks, cross component, interfaces/interactions/interoperability, protocols, algorithms, and applications
Responsible for pathfinding and providing the technical direction for software or hardware development and validation, including modeling and performance
Engages with customers on technical requirements/discussions and interacts with technologists across Intel and within the industry to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Development, or any other directly related discipline and 12+ years of experience in one, or more, of the following:
GPU architecture, scale up/out, drivers experience
Networking concepts like Ethernet and high-end fabrics (InfiniBand, Slingshot, BXI) proficiency
Programming: C/C++, C#, Assembly Scripting: Bash & Shell, Python, TCL, PowerShell, Perl, Visual Basic
System architecture / design
Software, Hardware, firmware specifications and development/support for Linux Kernel drivers/devise firmware and supporting tools
System management, telemetry, and test methodologies experience
Developing system and platform hardware innovations and specifications to support new systems and platforms
Successfully developed large, complex board reference designs used in productized platforms
Familiarity with Open Compute Program (OCP) specifications and requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's in Computer Science/Engineering, Management Technology, MBA, or any other directly related discipline and 8+ years of experience
PhD in Computer Science/Engineering, Software Development or any other directly related discipline and 6+ years of experience
Architectural knowledge of supercomputing system architectures
Understanding system memory standards and protocols, DDR4/5, LPDDR4/5, HBM2/3

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
