You will supervise the accounting team. Your scope will be Costa Rica.

Role Responsibilities

• Support the accounting functions in improving control measures, compiling, sorting, and verifying documentation.
• Comply with business key performance indicators, assertively communicate, and properly handle escalations with peers, management, and stakeholders.
• Be responsible for the account reconciliation process (SOX controls) and retention of proper documentation and compliance with internal policies and international accounting standards.
• Actively participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Month-end closing processes, both corporate and fiscal closings, and support audits.
• Supervise the accounting team and help them meet the objectives and delivery dates.
• Make financial reports and present metrics to different stakeholders.
• Internal and external audit attention.

Role Requirements

• Bachelors degree in accounting or related field with at least 3 years of experience in accounting.
• 3-5 years of experience leading accounting teams or being a team leader or accounting coordinator.
• Analytical, organized, and methodical skills are required. Attention to detail and problem-solving, sense of urgency and problem-solving. Teamwork attitude.
• Intermediate/Advanced Excel.
• Advanced English level (exclusive).
• At least three years of experience in bank conciliations, SOX controls, account analysis, or accounting clerical experience or equivalent in one or more of the following disciplines: month-end close, accruals, flux analysis, and external audit engagement.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft package.
• Oracle knowledge is required, and Hyperion system knowledge is desirable.
