As the Supply Chain R&D Engineer, you will be responsible for but not limited to:
Developing and managing internal and external relationships to provide sustainable cost, quality, availability, and technology solutions while adhering to procurement policies.
Partnering with a diverse stakeholder base to lead and develop multiyear commodity strategies based on business/market intelligence, long-term analysis of the category/commodity and the supply ecosystem.
Acquiring and maintains industry, market and technical knowledge of commodities.
Leading supplier sourcing, selection and performance management.
Negotiating purchasing contracts, statement of works and pricing for goods and/or services.
Driving cost saving opportunities in partnership with suppliers and stakeholders to meet business objectives.
**May develop new supply chain models for new or existing products or services.**
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Position not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must possess at least one of the following 3 degrees; plus, the years of experience determined for each degree in the areas specified below
1- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
2- Master's degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field. with 3+ years of relevant experience:
3- MBA plus 3+ years of relevant experience in Business, Engineering, Finance, or Supply Chain.

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience with project planning, HVM ramp readiness, supplier contract management, and supplier relationship management are ideal.
Experience with HVM manufacturing environment in the aspects of semiconductor fabrication and/or assembly test manufacturing, with experience in metrology, inspection, image analysis, or optical science.
Be qualified to manage supplier relationships, develop/negotiate contracts, prices, and lead time for capital equipment, upgrade kits, or CIPs that will enable equipment performance, technology capabilities, and/or cost savings initiatives.
Enable equipment selections decisions, drive supplier health/readiness initiatives, supplier capacity strategies, and conduct market analysis/benchmarking that will enable a robust supply chain.

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
