Job Description

As the Supply Chain Research and Development Engineer, you will be responsible for but not limited to: 

  • Delivering/managing technical and process requirements on worldwide fleet of capital equipment.

  • Demonstrating results by ramping equipment capability into factories and by improving equipment performance.

  • Crossing technical and commercial domains with a Supplier Quality and Equipment Performance focus.

  • Driving next generation equipment roadmaps with suppliers to meet Intel TD and HVM needs.

  • Partnering in Selection Working Groups to assess risks to equipment performance and deploy technical solutions to meet new Platform Ramps.

  • Driving and prioritizing projects based on performance metrics, technical, and cost benefit to Intel.

  • Managing and aligning technical specifications including automation requirements.

  • Providing engineering and program management leadership to ensure flawless new equipment deployment/transfer from development organization.

  • Some traveling is expected.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. *This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must possess at least one of the following degrees plus the years of experience determined for each degree in the areas specified below:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 6+ years of experience in supply chain management.

  • Master's degree in Engineering with 4+ years of experience in supply chain management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical experience or training in the areas of electromechanical hardware design, robotics, motion control, sensor technology, safety, quality sciences, and statistics (i.e. design test plans, conduct Design of Experiments (DOEs), data collection, create/interpret statistical analysis/data) recommended.

  • Factory related experience is highly desirable.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
