Job Description

The Sustainability Program Office in Intel's Software and Advanced Technology Group exists to incubate and support initiatives that make sustainable engineering core to Intel's cultural transformation. As awareness of sustainability and the ecological impact of computing grows, our team serves as a center of expertise and a catalyst for colleagues and the industry at large to set and scale requirements for new standards in product design, in line with Intel's broader corporate responsibility goals.

  • Understand available Intel and industry power/performance measurement tools for endpoint, networking and data center products.

  • Devise quick-turn proof-of-concept experiments to identify needed adjustments in existing toolsets for carbon calculations.

  • Collaborate closely with UX, software, hardware and open source partners to propose adaptations to existing measurement and development tools for carbon consumption calculation/communication.

  • Propose standard measurement methods for Intel and Industry in calculating carbon cost of compute.
