Intel's Technology
Development ATA Factory Infrastructure group is looking for Systems
and Software Optimization Engineer who has experience with Cloud
Technologies. Engineers on our infrastructure team are responsible
for providing third tier support of manufacturing systems, building
out on-prem cloud infrastructure and orchestration/automation of
the hardware/software life cycle. The individual will be expected
to develop, implement, optimize, and maintain cloud-based solutions
and will be responsible for deploying and debugging cloud stacks,
educating teams on new cloud initiatives, and ensuring the security
of the cloud infrastructure. Also, the candidate will be primarily
responsible for utilizing technical skills to coordinate
enhancements and deployment efforts and to provide insight and
recommendations for implementing client solutions. Engineers will
work closely with other cloud teams, project managers, engineers,
and other functions.
The person should enjoy
working in a fast-paced environment where adaptability and
flexibility is key to their success. Having depth and breadth of
knowledge of managing servers in a large-scale distributed
environment is a core competency of this individual. The individual
will be expected to learn the business models used within the Intel
process technology development environment and use this to define,
design, and develop systems that support the factory applications
that track material, control processing, and/or analyze data
critical to the success of the technology development
process.
Major Duties and
Responsibilities
- Work with customers/partners to design Cloud-based technical architectures, migration approaches, and application optimizations that enable business objectives.
- Serve as a technical advisor and perform troubleshooting to resolve technical challenges for customers.
- Create and deliver best practices, recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, and sample code.
- Must be able to work collaboratively with other teams to understand project objectives, gather automation requirements, design automated tests, troubleshoot issues and implement scalable test automation solutions
Qualifications
You
must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially
considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in
addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus
factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 2+ years in experience in container solutions such as Kubernetes and Docker
- 1+ years of experience in microservice design and architecture patterns.
Preferred
Qualifications:
- Experience in one or more of these technologies F5 Load Balancer/GIT/Version Control/Ansible/Grafana
- Experience in one or more of these technologies LongHorn/Prometheus/Rancher/Kubernetes/Dockers
- Practical experience in deploying/writing/improving helm-charts
- Experience designing, building, and deploying scalable cloud-based solution architectures
- Experience in writing software in one or more languages, such as Java, Python, Go, JavaScript, C++ or similar
- Experience automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, and continuous integration/delivery
- Knowledge of Linux software packaging, distribution and configuration
