System and Software Optimization Engineer

As part of the
Internet of Things Group (IOTG), the Versatile Processing Unit
(VPU) Team have been at the forefront of designing and delivering
solutions for exciting new machine vision and artificial
intelligence markets. We are seeking strong engineering candidates
with a strong desire in focusing on performance optimization for
our VPU products.
As the VPU System and
Software Optimization Engineer, you will be collaborating with
multiple stakeholders both inside and outside Intel and operating
at all stages in the product lifecycle - from product concept
through to delivery across Intel
platforms.
Responsibilities include
but are not limited to:
- Software Enabling and performance Optimization that will integrate, test, tune, debug, and optimize the VPU software stack.
- Path finding opportunities: Identify emerging industry technology trends, developing new business or project proposals and running Software PoCs, determining technical feasibility, validating customer interest.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science /Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or related technical degree with 4+ years of experience.
- Experience of software experience in the Client, data center, cloud and/or networking domains with roles in engineering.
- Experience in AI/ML technologies.
- Experience developing and bringing to market software solutions.
- Interacting with customers in the design and deployment of successful solutions will be a plus.
Preferred
Qualifications:
- Strong Linux skills, including experience with BASH and a passion for automation.
- Competent in C, C++, and Python with an excellent understanding of computer science/computer architecture fundamentals including:
- Algorithm design
- Data structures
- System-on-chip Architecture, including IP to IP communication
- Memory hierarchy/Cache Coherency
- Multithreaded design/parallel computing
- Driver development
- Containerization/Docker
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of Audio/Video media processing
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of Convolutional Neural Networks, and how they work.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Works well in a highly ambiguous environment where tasks and priorities may change quickly without warning
- Experience

- Edge Systems
- OpenVINO
- VTune, SOC watch or other performance measurement tools
- GStreamer
- Metaprogramming
- UML diagrams
- Media pipeline
- Current Intel Media Products

Annual
Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US,
Colorado:
$97,500.00-$146,340.00
