We are part of CTO (Chief Technology Office) group within Intel PSG (Programmable Solution Group). Our mission is to research, explore, exercise, and develop new technologies outside of current PSG development roadmap and bring it to Intel PSG. We actively seek and collaborate research ideas with academia, commercial/defense companies, and the US government. We are currently participating in many government-funded programs.
As a Strategic Systems Architect for the advanced heterogeneous integrated packaging organization within the Programmable Solutions Group (PSG), you will define and translate requirements from both government, Defense Industrial Base (DIB), Academia, and commercial customers to Intel engineering teams for system architecture requirement, chiplet topology and packaging requirements.
You will develop roadmap requirements for optimized package and substrate types to enable customer demand for semi-customized multi-chip packages.
This role is an Individual
Contributor who will partner with Customers, Sales, Marketing,
Vertical Business Groups, Applications Engineering, and Engineering
and Operations to evaluate and propose technical solutions and aid
in the development of the long-term business
model.
The System Architect will be responsible for but not limited to:
Interfacing to government and translating requirements to Intel Engineering
Translating Defense Industrial Base and Commercial customers' application requirements, package design, thermal/cooling requirements, and operating specifications into technical proposals and scope feasibility of new technology use
Identifying and proposing new needs for government deliverables (evaluate options in existing contracts)
Identifying commonalities between MCP requirements to reduce re-inventing Substrates/Packages
Coordinating silicon, package, and system architecture with the customer and with internal engineers
Driving long term growth by building relationships, creating strategies, and facilitating technology collaboration with strategic customers
Collecting requirements and formulate common substrate to leverage either Intel Custom Foundry, Structured, and/or Custom ASICs
Inputting and providing feedback to strategic and product marketing for solution and product development and planning
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, and/or military experience. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
