This leadership position is for the Test Engineering Associate Manager supporting Courtland and Huntsville, AL programs within the Strategic and Missile Defense Line of Business. This ATLO (Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations) leader will be badged to the current Test Engineering Manager in Huntsville and will have both program and functional responsibilities. Functional responsibilities include assisting the Test Engineering Manager with the ATLO Test Engineers across all programs in both Huntsville and Courtland (TCP, RKV, THAAD, HCSW, AF Reentry, IRCPS, etc). Functional responsibilities include assistance with staffing, LM Commit, managing applicable budgets, and training for the assigned personnel. Assist with verification that all programs are following test engineering discipline per Test Engineering CIPS, assist with certification and oversight of all Certified Test Conductors (CTCs) and RAS (Responsible Area Surveillance) personnel to include review of periodic program test activities and SRAS inspections of all High Bays and Labs used for critical hardware, as well as assistance with the Ground Processing Equipment Controller (GPEC) process and oversight of the EDQR (Electrical Designated Quality Representative) Program. This position will also be responsible for supporting program reviews, approving test procedures and plans, and work to streamline test engineering processes. The Test Engineering Manager Associate will spend time at both the Courtland and Huntsville sites (as required) supporting all programs. This position support programs/operations in both Huntsville and Courtland

Basic Qualifications
• Candidate must have bachelor’s degree in a technical field and/or equivalent years of applicable experience/service
• Minimum of 5 years test engineering experience with a strong understanding of all areas of hardware testing from Component level, Subsystem, System level to include Flight Test Planning, Execution, Analysis and Reporting principles.
• Minimum of 2 years of proven abilities in managing and/or leading diverse groups (Test Engineering preferred) demonstrating Full Spectrum Leadership attributes
• Must have strong demonstrated communication skills both written and verbal and be capable of briefing both program and functional leadership
• Requires secret clearance

Desired skills
• Background experience in both hardware and software testing
• Knowledge of the current Test Engineering CIPs and Certified Test Conductor program/classes
• Certified Test Conductor
• Experience in proposal writing
• Knowledge of the Huntsville training pipeline
• Experience in missile flight testing, operations, and knowledge of launch procedures at National Test Ranges
