Job Description

The System, Software and Simulation Engineering (S3E) team, a part of Intel's Software and Advanced Technology Group (SATG) is driving software first strategy at Intel through early robust system simulators. We are transforming the way our product firmware and software is developed and simulated on a modern cloud computing environment. We deliver an integrated functional, performance, power, and thermal simulation several quarters before first silicon. Great simulators result in leadership products by simulating our architecture and software before committing our product execution. We are looking for strong software and systems engineers to help us advance these large-scale software development projects. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Building Architectural models of CPU, Fabric, Memory and other SoC components for Power, Performance and thermal simulation
  • Bring up and debug of system power management flows on a software model of a full platform
  • Actively work with other engineers in the team to build a full platform integrating SW models of several SoC components
  • Ability to comprehend & debug complex system level power management flows.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors with 4+ years or Masters with 3+ or Ph.D with 1+ years in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering
  • 4+ years of experience with all aspects of large-scale software development lifecycle
  • 4+ years applying software tools and best practices for productivity, quality and high performance.
  • 2+ years system level modeling and methodology development.
  • 3+ years object-oriented software construction experience.
  • 3+ years of C/C++ programming experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of modern microprocessor and SoC architecture.
  • Demonstrated successful application of shift-left software development.
  • Proficiency bringing up a full software stack including BIOS, firmware, Operating System, and applications.
  • Proficiency with Simics, Docea and CoFluent.
  • SystemC TLM2 modeling expertise.
  • Performance and power/thermal modeling experience.
  • Proficiency with Linux and Windows based software development environments and tools.
  • Development and debug experience with full software stack including BIOS, firmware, Operating System, and applications.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$113,500.00-$170,120.00

Work Model for this Role

This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
