The Product
Engineering's SOC team is looking for a systems validation who is
passionate about working on the leading-edge products, debugging
and solving technical issues and delivering the best products in
the market to the customer. You would be responsible for ensuring
the testability and manufacturability of integrated circuits from
the component feasibility stage through production ramp. This could
include evaluation, development and debug of test methods. Creating
and testing validation and production test hardware solutions.
Analyzing and evaluating component specification versus performance
to ensure optimal yield while delivering to test time and quality
goals. Analyzing early customer returns with emphasis on driving
test hole closure activities. Creating innovative solutions to
optimize quality and cost constraints.
In this
role you will support client PCH Systems team in Folsom which
requires collaborating worldwide with cross-functional teams
including design, validation, software, high volume manufacturing
(HVM) and fabs . Systems team is responsible for platform enabling,
partnering with content, BIOS, Automation teams to develop improved
test methodologies and manufacturing test solutions. Your team will
also drive execution of validation plans, debug of failures, and
its deployment to high volume factories. You will be part of a team
supporting electrical validation of Intel's cutting-edge HSIOs such
as PCIe, TBT, USB3.X, BT/WIFI, USF
etc.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be
initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications
are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a
plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below
would be obtained through a combination of your
schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or
internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be
compensated accordingly.
Education:
Candidate must have a Master's degree in
Electrical/Computer Engineering, Compuer Science or a related field
OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer
Engineering, Computer Science or a related field with 3+
years of industry experience
Minimum
Qualifications:
6+ months experience in the
following:
Development and debug of test patterns in at
least one area of Cache, IO, Functional and Scan to support
component debug, validation, characterization, and production
test
Experience with system level debug of chipsets
and/or CPUs
Post-Si testing and validation on package
interfaces
Preferred Qualifications:
DFT, hardware testing methods and tools
Silicon
debug and characterization of new Ips (EG: PCIe Gen4/5, SATA etc.)
including working with platform and system level validation teams
to identify and close silicon issues
Debug and
validation experience of mixed (analog/digital) circuitry
Analysis and disposition of early customer returns to drive
understanding of design marginalities or develop test content to
screen these units where needed
Experience in cost
reduction, or quality improvement efforts, on Class or Wafer Sort
tests
Familiar with statistical analysis
Bench design validation using oscilloscope
Basic
Python, Perl or C scripting
Manufacturing flow
experience
Semiconductor device physics and overall
semiconductor testing
Lean/Agile, Lean Six Sigma or
other process improvement tool experience
Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of
industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or
schoolwork/classes/research.

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
