Performs systems engineering functions in support of the US Trident II Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program related to facility infrastructure and support equipment primarily at missile processing and supporting facilities located at the Strategic Weapons Facilities and other support sites, such as CCAFS. Develop ConOps of customer’s request for decomposition into a set of measurable and verifiable requirements. Effectively communicate requirements into design documents, maintain requirements, conducting trade studies for feasibility or identifying optimum solution, verify and validate the implemented product(s) meets requirements. Horizontally integrate and coordinate a geographically disperse team of stakeholders to develop a total solution. Identify, understand, interpret and analyze missile production source documentation to develop requirement documentation that enables and ensures the SWS facilities and subsequent support equipment can support an activation, modification or alteration and maintain reliability throughout the facility life cycle. Maintain configuration of interface documentation as facility capability or functions change and/or evolve. Support sustainment of facility requirements for the FBM Program as it matures and evolves.Provide validation and verification oversight during technical review and project implementation. Ensure coordination of facility interfaces occur when configuration change requests are made with FBM organizations located at various sites including SWPAC in Bangor, Washington and SWFLANT in Kings Bay, Georgia. Prepare presentations and technical briefings and support technical exchange, integration, and status meetings with other FBM and customer organizations


*Must have the ability to acquire a Secret Clearance to be considered for this role
*This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen

Basic Qualifications
BS in Systems Engineering or related discipline

Experienced Engineer with a strong System engineering / technical background and experience in the lifecycle methodologies for facilities and ground support equipment.

Experience with requirements documentation development, field inspection, demonstration and testing activities, and verifying and validating requirements.

Familiar with requirements decomposition/definition process and methodology

Experience working with various types of technical drawings for facilities and support equipment.

Desired skills
Proficiency in electrical engineering or power generation

Proficient in Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORs).

Knowledge of computer assisted drafting (AutoCAD, REVIT, Pro-E, CREO)

Ability to present to a team or group

Knowledge of Visual Basic of Applications (VBA) Script

Familiarity with INCOSE or similar systems engineering industry standards

Ability to work with an array of team members including management, subcontract administrators, planners, various engineering design disciplines, financial analysts and/or operations personnel

Must be Self-motivated, with excellent relationship building skills

Willing and able to travel on occasion
