Systems Modeling Graduate Research Assistant- Fall 2021-ELSYS
Job Description
The Systems Engineering Research Division at Georgia Tech Research Institute seeks Graduate Research Assistants (GRA) for the fall 2021 semester. The students should have experience with programming and/or modeling and simulation. The strongest candidates would also have a background or familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering, including experience with one or more of the following Systems Modeling Languages/Tools: MagicDraw, Cameo Systems Modeler, Enterprise Architect, Rational Rhapsody, etc.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Graduate Research Assistant
Pursuing a Masters degree or PhD at Georgia Tech in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
Must be enrolled full-time (12+ credit hours)
Must have a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA
Commit to 15-20 hours of work per week
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SysML tools such as MagicDraw, Cameo Systems Modeler, Enterprise Architect, Rational Rhapsody, etc.
Experience in Java, C, or Python programming languages
Knowledge of systems engineering and/or aerospace engineering
Strong math skills and ability to learn complex engineering concepts
Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas
Hours per Week
1520 hours per week
U.S. Citizenship Requirements
Due to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens.
Clearance Type Required
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance.
