Job Description

The Cloud Engineering (CE) team is a global advanced engineering organization of close 450 HC. It is Cloud Engineering's mission to co-develop tier 1 cloud infrastructure solutions and server designs and drive major engineering initiatives across Intel to meet aggressive tier 1 cloud customer requirements. Top cloud customers are Intel's most sophisticated and demanding customers with the ability to pivot to custom solutions whenever Intel isn't meeting their needs. These technical requirements are substantially different than legacy customers and demand a major pivot from the OEM/application engineering model of the past.

As Technical Assistant and Chief of Staff to CE, you will be a key partner to the Vice President of Customer Engineering, helping drive the critical initiatives across the organization in support of our key objectives. And to be part of a growing organization supporting Intel's pivot to a Cloud First mindset in the Data Center. This position plays a key role in sensing and working directly with the broader organization and staff to help set priorities and understand gaps, also working with other executives across DPEA and their Chiefs of Staff as required. This position provides high performing, high potential professionals at Intel with an opportunity for accelerated business and leadership learning with a unique assignment reporting to, and receiving mentoring directly from, their executive.

The Chief of staff will be responsible for but not limited to:

Drive operational effectiveness and efficiency, working with the Executive and their staff to establish and execute to priorities (OKR development).
Manages interdependencies and integration among multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders.
Aid in setting and executing goals for improving employee engagement

Be the point person for related hiring and business operation's needs, such as PLAN.

Is the key interface with stakeholders and leadership internally.
Exercises judgment and discretion to develop solutions, remove obstacles and redefine approaches.
Assesses risks and identifies solutions to timely, efficient achievement of program goals.
Facilitate and coordinate executive communications across varied audiences, ensuring full preparation for internal and external engagements.
Interface with appropriate TA communities to facilitate alignment and collaboration with other organizations and their executives.
Stay apprised of the business environment and trends and provide insight into implications for CE organization.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Qualifications listed as preferred or additional will be considered a plus factor for applicants.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience in: in the technology industry - silicon/hardware / software/services.

8+ years of experience in coordination and operational support to cross functional teams in matrix organizations

5+ years of experience in working with multinational teams, across engineering, business development, and sales.

 

Preferred qualifications:
Experience in Planning, process, and effective meeting skills
Product management and/or development experience.

Experience in the data center market inclusive of customer landscape and technologies.
Experience in Customer relationship management.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
