The Technical Lead is mainly responsible
to:
1) define the architecture and drive technical roadmap
2) interface with customer and align technical issues cross-functionally,
3) work with program team to address technical risks and issues, and bridge technical and capability gaps together with technical team.
Responsibilities may include:
- Review product requirements, provide engineering response, jointly specify device performance targets, conduct device simulations, design devices/test structures/test chips, plan and execute DOEs, characterize, or evaluate device performance, etc.
- Interact with broad interdisciplinary team composed of experts in device layout, device fabrication, device test, Q&R, electrical ICs, chip assembly, component packaging, etc. to deliver optical components from R&D to high volume production with superior performance, reliability, cost, and time to market versus the competitors.
- The design and development of on-chip integration of photonic devices and components such as lasers, optical modulators, photodetectors, multiplexers, demultiplexers, couplers, spot size converters, etc.
Qualifications
Minimum
qualifications are required to be initially considered for this
position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum
requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top
candidates.

Education Requirement:
Masters Degree in Engineering, Optoelectronics, Physics, Technology, or related field.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in designing and testing a silicon photonics IC, and optical design/simulation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in LiDAR/3D sensing technology, self-driving vehicles/robotics, and AR/XR. Know-how in LiDAR/3D sensing system modeling and simulation.
- 6+ years of experience in silicon photonics, photonics, semiconductor design, packaging, and production.
- Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Optoelectronics, Physics, Technology, or related field.

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
