Job Description

The Intel Optane Group (IOG), within the Data Center and Artificial Intelligence group (DCAI), is responsible for the development and commercial success of the Intel Optane technology including Optane SSDs and Optane persistent memory.

The Customer Engagement Team has an opportunity for an engineer to lead customer enabling and security solutions development activities for our current and future products. You will work with other teams in DCAI to coordinate development and integration of security solutions based on the requirements provided.

You will track the associated deliverables throughout the product development life cycle process. You will have the competence to initiate and contribute to overall design and development of new ideas and products and impact company's revenue by helping customers launch their products on time.

In addition to planned customer enabling activities aligned with the product life cycle, you will actively engage with customer design and validation teams and respond to customer requests or events as they occur. Your work on developing solutions to internal and customer needs will utilize and develop solid technical skills and formal education and judgment.

Your main responsibilities will include a mix of:

  • Own the external exposure of security features and functions for Optane products.
  • Participate in engineering and execution forums tracking design and development status of the security support through the entire development life cycle of the device.
  • Coordinate customer enabling with relevant status and delivery updates for the Optane products security support and collateral required for customer integration.
  • Engage with other internal security experts in creating required collateral associated with identified Optane product vulnerabilities and drive the customer communication for these.
  • Collect customer requirements related to Optane product solutions and coordinate needed internal activities for successful completion.
  • Use key learnings as customer input to influence product definitions and enhance the security support of future Optane products.
  • Participate and drive innovative proofs of concepts and use cases independently and/or in partnership with customers.
  • Create technical documents such as white papers, datasheets, sightings/errata reports etc.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Aptness to ramp quickly on new and complex products in a dynamic environment is critical.
  • Strong evidence of influencing and internal/external customer orientation skills.
     


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Requirements:

The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree a in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

3+ years of experience in the Security Memory field in combination of 1 of the following areas:

  • Hardware and/or firmware development
  • Validation or technical customer enabling
  • Server/workstation component product design

1+ years of experience in customer/client engagement


Preferred Requirements:

1+ years of experience in the following areas:

  • FIPS standard and NIST security requirements for cryptographic modules.
  • Security protocol SPDM, and associated integrity protection of CXL link.
  • Debugging techniques and tools i.e. ITP, Python, CScripts, electrical validation tools for HSIO.
  • Simics.
  • Intel Architecture-based platforms and history with: Microprocessor architecture, chipset architecture, system architecture, board design, post-silicon validation, firmware, BIOS, and software.
  • High speed I/O interfaces such as DDRx memory, CXL, PCI-Express, Intel QuickPath Interconnect, and SMbus interfaces.
  • Cryptography and integrity fundamentals, platform root of trust, TPM, and security technologies for memory/storage such as MKTME, TDX, SGX etc.
  • Security standards from industry forums DMTF and TCG.
  • Hardware and Software debug and test environments/tools for checking and proofing security algorithms and features.

Master's degree a in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$113,210.00-$187,350.00

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
