The Intel Optane Group (IOG), within the Data Center and Artificial Intelligence group (DCAI), is responsible for the development and commercial success of the Intel Optane technology including Optane SSDs and Optane persistent memory. The Customer Engagement Team has an opportunity for an engineer to lead customer enabling collateral and tool development activities for our current and future products. You will work with other teams in IOG and DCAI to coordinate development of customer tools throughout the product life cycle process to assure Optane SSD and PMem customer success. You also will assist customer collateral development though manage document authors ensuring compete and customer ready collateral and communication are available. You will have the ability to initiate and contribute to overall design and development of new ideas and products and impact company's revenue by helping customers launch their products on time.

In addition to planned customer enabling activities aligned with the product life cycle, you will actively engage with customer design and validation teams and respond to customer requests or events as they occur. Your work on developing solutions to internal and customer needs and will utilize and develop solid technical skills and formal education and judgment.

Your main responsibilities will include a mix of:

  • Own Optane tools roadmap incorporating customer requirements and feedback
  • Coordinating tool delivery with other Intel teams for customer and debug usage
  • Assist with collateral management including driving schedules, reviewing content, and supporting customer access.
  • Participating in weekly debug review forums and updating status to customer and internal engineering teams
  • Participating in debug task force meetings with technical cross domain stakeholders, depending on the issue, to ensure timely issue resolution
  • Developing new and innovative proofs of concepts and use cases independently and/or in partnership with customers and third-party vendors
  • Using key learnings to influence future product definitions, enabling and debug processes
  • Creating technical documents such as white papers, datasheets, sightings/errata reports etc.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate:

  • A self-starter who is focused and has a passion for learning.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are also required.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Requirements:
The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
1+ years of experience in the following areas:

  • Building a PC from assembly to installation of operating system (O/S).
  • PC architecture and the relationship between CPU/DRAM/storage.
  • Debugging with some examples such as setting up a test environment to determine if compatibility issue is software or hardware related.
  • Programming language (C, C# or Python).

Preferred Requirements:
Previous internship experience.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
