The Intel Programmable Solutions Group (PSG, formed from the acquisition of Altera) seeks a Technical Product Manager for FPGA platforms. The Technical Product Manager is a critical and visible role within PSG's Product Planning organization.
As a Technical Product Manager, you will take on challenging and often ambiguous problems, applying sound business judgment in defining solutions and effectively communicating complex issues to audiences that may include senior executives, marketing, engineering, sales, and customers. A Technical Product Manager is responsible for synthesizing and analyzing requirements from various sources including PSG's product roadmap, strategy and marketing teams, PSG business divisions and other Intel business units, customers, and sales/field/support teams. Technical Product Managers work closely with engineering teams to ensure that all requirements and feature specifications are well defined and prioritized, to drive the engineering delivery process and timeline for our FPGA reference platforms.
In this position,
your focus will be on defining reference platforms that show
customers how different accelerator solutions can be implemented
with our FPGAs. The scope spans from board level requirements,
through soft IP to the software stack required by the target
workloads. In addition to reference platforms, you will also plan
development kits for the latest FPGAs to enable customer demos and
increase sales.
Key
Responsibilities:
Drive the definition of development kits for new FPGA products.
Drive the definition of Acceleration Development Platforms (ADPs) for targeted workloads.
Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the platforms.
Generate market/product/feature requirements based on input from customers, business partners and via industry analysis.
Maintain and communicate the development kit and ADP roadmaps.
Perform competitive analysis for key target workloads and ensure product requirements represent best-in-class features.
Coordinate with product management peers to align inter-dependent programs and solutions.
Manage and track input to Engineering direction/deliverables and change requests.
Work with other Intel BUs to align product offering with One Intel mindset.
Desired Competencies:
Technical depth and understanding of FPGA technology and development flows.
Knowledge, or prior experience, in the following technologies: network/storage/crypto acceleration, 5G wireless network acceleration or coherent memory applications.
Business acumen.
Leadership - skills to define, influence and drive decisions proactively.
Presence and Communications - skills to facilitate engagement and open communication in stressful situations, articulate ideas and concepts in a compelling and targeted manner to promote change and communicate goals and plans to executive staff and critical project stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal skills - not afraid to communicate to ensure success of program and call out problems, understands the diverse perspectives of stakeholders and works with them to resolve differences.
Initiative - comfortable driving unchartered, high-paced programs with limited oversight in a team environment.
Strong analytical skills - data-driven with strong problem-solving skills, proficient to structure complicated issues and find creative solutions to business challenges.
Qualifications
Relevant
experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project
work, internships, and/or military experience. Preferred
qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are
considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer
Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of total experience, experience should
include one or more of the
following:
Experience using FPGA, GPU, CPU, Networking, Storage, Platforms, System/Server, Wireless Applications, Crypto Acceleration, and/or Coherent Memory Applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in one or more of the following is considered a
plus
Experience in a customer-facing role.
Technical experience with FPGA development flows and software solutions.
Experience architecting FPGA-based solutions for an end market or application.
Experience in or understanding of networking or storage protocols and topologies, 5G networking/Virtual RAN or coherent memory applications.
Experience with industry trends and main players related to the above technologies.
Experience working with or designing Baseboard Management Controllers (BMC) or experience with PLDM, MCTP, Redfish or OpenBMC.

Colorado:
$97,230.00-$160,990.00

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
