Join Apple's Retail Network & Infrastructure team, within the Information Systems and Technology group, as a Technical Project Manager. Be involved in challenging and fast paced projects, that support Apple's retail business by providing on-time delivery of a robust network for retail stores

Key Qualifications

  • 5 years of overall project management experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to coordinate with technical and business partner teams
  • Solid experience in multiple vendor management
  • Experience in process improvement
  • Ambitious, highly motivated, innovative and have a proven track record of handling concurrent projects
  • Able to assess & mitigate risk, manage change, and work in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Result-oriented and organized
  • Demonstrate Ownership
  • Proficient in basic office applications on Mac environment, as well as Excel and web enabled conference meetings
  • Familiarity with telecom provisioning, a plus
  • Familiarity with construction projects, including architectural drawings, a plus

Description

Join a dedicated team of project managers that assist in delivering the network and voice infrastructure to new retail stores, around the world. The candidate will manage multiple projects on time and within budget, while using critical thinking to improve the overall program. The candidate will work with business partners, technical teams and multiple vendors during the full project lifecycle., coordinating procurement, delivery, and on site visits.

The candidate will identify and mitigate risk, maintain issue logs, reconcile vendor quotes, as they drive key milestones. Conduct retrospectives, upon project completion, in order to better deliver the next project. Be customer focused and flexible. Build solid relationships with business partners and technical teams to ensure project success. The candidate is expected to be self-motivated, pro-active, solution and detail oriented, and act as a liaison between various functional units. The candidate will be effective working with geographically distributed teams

Education & Experience

BS degree in computer science or information management plus 4-7 years experience, or MS degree plus 3-5 years experience, or equivalent

Additional Requirements

  • Experience in global projects a plus. Presentation and Metrics skills. Able to "read" the corporate culture and adapt strategy to be most effective
