The Test Equipment and Environments Center (TEEC) applies a systems approach to provide total test solutions that ensure the quality of Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) products. The TEEC uses common platforms and processes to design/develop production, depot and engineering test stations.

Job Description:

The selected candidate will provide support as a member of a multi-disciplined team composed of various engineering disciplines (Electrical, Software, Mechanical, Firmware/Configurable Logic, etc). The team will be responsible for performing design, development and integration of RMD test products within the Test Equipment and Environments Center (TEEC).

The candidate will be responsible projects that may include updating or adding to existing Test Systems, or providing support to maintain operation of existing Test Systems (diagnosing failures, updates based on improved technology or requirements changes, etc). All efforts by the candidate will be performed while managing the technical, budget, and schedule considerations for their assigned projects. The qualified candidate will also be expected to conform to a process driven environment following procedures and practices established to guide an engineer through the different phases of test equipment implementation including design, fabrication, documentation, and support.


U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance within one year of employment.

Required Education and Skills:
  • Experience using laboratory equipment, electronics and software (such as: i.e. oscilloscope, DMM, Spectrum analyzer and MatLab)
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office products (such as Excel, Word and/or PowerPoint)
  • US Citizenship required
Junior, Senior, or Post-graduate level standing in one of the following: Electrical and Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline

This position can be a Salary Grade ST03, Salary Grade ST04 or Salary Grade ST05 based on the candidate's qualifications and standing as outlined below:

ST03 (Junior Technical Intern)- must have completed 60 hours of college
ST04 (Senior Technical Intern)- must have completed 90 hours of college
ST05 (Post-Graduate Technical Intern)- must have an undergraduate degree, and be currently seeking a graduate degree (in degree fields listed in Required Education and Skills)


Desired Education/Skills:
  • ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
  • Experience developing and evaluating requirements and able to evaluate test issues and define solutions
  • Experience developing strategies in support of organizational efficiency improvements
  • Able to perform successfully in an environment with frequent and direct interaction with customers and peers
  • Good communication, interpersonal, planning and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
  • Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles
  • Current/Active DoD clearance or SSBI
