As a Thermo Mechanical Engineer in EPG you will create reference designs and test boards for the next generation of data centers that use Ethernet and Infrastructure Processing Units (IPUs) and Ethernet at the core of their infrastructure.  You will have a wide range of contributions collaborating with Architects, PCB designers, suppliers, validation teams and customers as we create a new category of products that will help further scale hyper scale data centers and enables new use cases for storage and networking.

The duties and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Designing and simulating new thermal solutions for server environments for new system reference designs and concepts
  • Designing supporting mechanical components including brackets and test fixtures to enable prototype designs
  • Create specifications and documentation that enable our customers to build solutions using Intel's Ethernet products
  • Working with Intel's vendors, and partners to build protype solutions
  • Working with Internal and external customers to understand design constraints and create specifications that meet our customer's needs


Minimum Qaulifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or in a related field of study
  • 4+ years of overall work experience.
  • Experience designing mechanical systems involving circuit boards and their associated thermal solutions.
  • Experience using SolidWorks and FloTherm to design and simulate thermal components and integrating them into system designs.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
