The TMG Strategic Planning (SP) organization incorporates factory strategic ramp capital planning to define what our factories and their associated capital equipment needs are to achieve our long-term manufacturing objectives. Come and join this team as a Layout Industrial Engineer within the TMG Strategic Planning Organization, where you can be involved in shaping Intel's future.

Layout is an international team with groups located in Ireland, Israel, New Mexico, Oregon, Arizona, and soon to be Ohio and Germany. This requires being flexible with meeting availability and may require occasional travel. Additionally, Layout is the key integration point of many functions required in the layout planning, tool install and construction process. In this role, you will serve as a critical link between the Strategic Planning Organization, Construction, Tool Install Design, Install, Manufacturing and Process Engineering during all stages of building and layout development.

This role is for a Senior Layout IE that can range from Day-to-Day Sustaining to Strategic Building and Base Build Development. The role, and current environment, will require the candidate to be flexible in contributing to different types of areas depending on the need for the Layout Department. The candidate can work from any of the primary Layout sites but travel will be required and could be as frequent as a bimonthly basis in order to maintain strong relationships with primary team/stakeholders and for key project events.

A TMGSP Senior Layout Industrial Engineer (IE) is responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Working with FCE to provide critical base build inputs to the design and repeatability of new factories.
  • Coordination of program milestones with FCE and the Site Program Teams to ensure smooth planning cycles and 100% PAS to Layout deliverables.
  • Planning production facilities and equipment layouts, determining the most efficient use of space, comprehending process flow design constraints, and establishing methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.
  • Optimizing the installation sequence to support the analysis and recommendations for future technology transition scenarios.
  • Assist in the process of equipment installation by supporting Design Reviews and attending Field Walks as needed.
  • Interaction with Design Construction and Capacity groups during site build out will be critical to ensure alignment with plans and resolving any layout related field issues.
  • In addition to layout development work the candidate will also be expected to develop, follow, and improve business standards within the organization and drive standardization across multiple sites in the VF (Virtual Factory) Team.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates Relevant experience can be obtained through school work classes and project work internships military training and/or work experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 3-5 years of direct layout development experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 + years of experience in construction, tool install, or semiconductor factory operations.
  • 3 + years of managing or leading teams in a technical environment.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
