Group:
Global External Manufacturing and Sourcing (GEMS)
is responsible for managing Intel's external manufacturing capacity
and production operations worldwide. The organization focuses on
developing and executing external manufacturing sourcing,
technology development, and manufacturing strategies which provides
Intel with a unique competitive advantage towards realizing IDM2.0.
Within GEMS, the External Manufacturing Sourcing Group
(EMS) is responsible to manage the outsourcing of the silicon
foundry (wafer) and OSAT (assembly, test)
business.
About the role:
The
VP of External Manufacturing and Sourcing will be a critical leader
who will manage one of the four pillars of the Global External
Manufacturing and Sourcing (GEMS) team. GEMS is a rapidly growing
organization that delivers end-to-end procurement, technology
development, manufacturing support, and strategic solutions in
external manufacturing. This position has the responsibility of
managing a worldwide team of ~ 80 procurement professionals with
the charter to develop and execute global sourcing strategies and
policies for spending of 2.3B annually in critical areas supporting
Intel's product roadmap. This group is responsible for working with
the external ecosystem to develop solutions which are critical for
enabling Intel products in the marketplace. These areas
include: Foundry and OSAT supplier selection, supplier management,
capacity planning, contract negotiations, and purchasing.
This position will engage deeply with the different
functions within the business units to understand their product
roadmaps, business, and priority requirements to drive alignment
with the capabilities and standards of the Foundry and OSAT
market.
EMS works
closely with key business stakeholders within our business groups,
as well as divisional partners such as Assembly and Test Technology
Development (ATTD). The successful candidate will need to be
effective at working with stakeholders and suppliers globally,
while also working closely with peers in helping to shape the
broader external manufacturing and global supply chain
strategies.

Demonstrated experience in successfully managing and leading a global, multicultural team.
Strong ability to partner with and influence key stakeholders both internally and externally.
Prior knowledge developing and executing worldwide sourcing, foundry/OSAT management and business, and technical strategies.
Capability to ramp quickly on new initiatives, demonstrated skills in leadership, influencing, planning, contract negotiations, and developing teams to deliver results.
Effective communicator of both written and verbal information to all levels of management and across diverse global cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to deal with a high tolerance of ambiguity and support multiple concurrent projects and activities.
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications
Required:
The successful applicant must possess a Master
or advanced degree in engineering with 15+ years of
relevant supply chain and leadership experience. MBA or Ph.D. is a
plus.
