About the Role:
In
this role, we are looking for a leader who can lead a team of
experts in HPC/AI domains and is proficient in these areas:
Workload Research, System Modeling and Projections, Performance
Measurements and Attainment
Scope of
Role:
- Collaborate across intel and industry to guide the direction of Super Compute HW/SW by working with architecture, silicon, software and platform teams.
- Work with product architecture and business teams to identify prioritized list of HPC applications and workflows. Use those to maintain workloads and micro-benchmark suites.
- Revamp and invent tools, infrastructure and methodologies for measurements, comparisons and reports that can support Supercompute products.
- Interface with SW teams to jointly optimize the system flows/SW stack to meet these goals
- Identify top issues and performance limitations in existing HPC applications on current products.
- Invent new compute and programming models that mitigate these performance limiters in our path to zetta-scale.
- Work with modeling and measurements team to generate projections, comparisons and analysis reports for internal consumption as well as customer commits and publications.
- The team will help lead System modeling and measurement domains through Product definition, System and Silicon architecture choices and help contribute to product concepts and execution commits
- The team will also be responsible for System and Platform level power/performance evaluation as well as measurement/attainment and optimization work to realize the commitments at product launch.
Qualifications
- Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- 20+ years of experience in HPC/AI performance analysis and/or System architecture.
- Experience with incubating and/or building a global team
- This role needs a strong background in High Performance Computing with an understanding of workloads and applications, and ability to use modeling techniques to work with underlying technologies such as Memory, Storage and fabrics, CPU/GPU architecture.
- Strong skills with algorithm analysis, parallel programming models as well as programming ability
- Good task prioritization, time management and organizational skills
- Experience at creating and fostering a creative, collaborative, innovative, positive, fun, and accountable team culture
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary, distributed team environment in the Covid Era
- Effective written and verbal communication and ability to distill ideas, progress and results via presentations to senior executives.

eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split
