As networking infrastructure continues to grow in importance as a critical enabler for data center performance and scale, we are seeking an outstanding technology and business leader who will drive the XFG (Switch & Fabric) Software Engineering organization delivering P4 Studio, P4 Applications, P4 Integrated Networking Stack (PINS/SONiC) and P4 Tools & Compiler for the Tofino product line, build strong relationships with customers and the community around open standards and co-innovation, and champion the organizations technical pipeline and community.  Working with our software partners across Intel in Software and Tool/sCompilers as well as our partners across This position will report to the General Manager of XFG.


  • Provides leadership, oversight, execution and technical guidance on the key deliverables of the XFG SW organization including Drivers, P4 Compiler and Tools, Switch Stack, 5G SOC and the Advanced P4 Applications

  • Leads a highly talented geographically distributed team in US, Canada, UK, Europe and India

  • Provides technical leadership on critical product roadmap and architecture decisions

  • Provides guidance on related ENA initiatives (E2E software framework, host/network co-optimizations, control plane strategy, etc.)

Provides & amplifies a technical vision for connectivity

  • Helps refine our current POV Network as programmable platform

  • Collaborates with EPG, NPG and other Intel organizations to deliver cross Intel initiatives (including IPDK) where the XFG SW plays a critical role


  • Previous working experience as a VP level leader in networking systems and solutions

  • 10+ years experience with Networking technologies, particularly in the areas of Switching Silicon, SDKs, SONiC, Networking Protocols and middle-box networking applications

  • Market and technical insight.  Industry experience and savvy in recognizing external market shifts and technological trends, translating them into competitive opportunities/threats, and mobilizing the technical community to act.

  • Exposure to hyperscale cloud data center architectures, trends, and pain-points

  • Business architectural, analysis and planning skills

  • Creative thinker, influential collaborator, and diligent advocate

  • Business communication, leadership and project management skills

  • Experienced leader of people, able to inspire and build followership. History of developing others, recruiting top talent, and getting them to collaborate as a high-functioning team.

  • Credible with corporate executives and technologist

  • Broad customer and industry acumen including demonstrating market-level influence through appearances at conferences, industry/standards and academic forums (e.g. panelist, president or board member, etc.)

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering from a leading institution is required.
