This position is in the
Network Platforms Group (NPG)
Virtual Platforms Engineering and
Architecture (VPEA) team with a specific focus on Simics Modeling
for next generation networking infrastructure platforms. VPEA is
seeking an experienced modeler to help define and implement our
pre-Silicon and customer deliverables for future solutions
supported by our SoCs including key network acceleration
technologies such Bulk Crypto, Public Key Exchange (PKE), data
compression/decompression, media and
wireless baseband..
This forward-looking and
highly dynamic role provides unique opportunities to influence
future product direction across several technologies and
organizations while fundamentally driving advanced shift-left
activities.
In this role, you will have the
opportunity to work directly with silicon design teams, firmware
teams, applications software engineering and planning to define and
influence new SoC product development to drive holistic customer
solutions that meet market requirements and delight
customers.
The NPG is a part of the Network Edge
Group (NEX). We are looking for a highly motivated, creative, and
technically competent individual for this position.
Internal/external engineering partners to design/manufacture intel
silicon, integrate Intel silicon and/or software into impactful
products. Examples of tools/systems include debuggers, analyzers,
SDKs, IDEs, PDKs, performance monitors, software tools and
libraries, flows, and/or methodologies for design, manufacturing,
validation, and
test.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, or related field and 4+ years of relevant experience.
- 4+ years of experience with modeling in languages such as SystemC / C++, or Simics / DML
- 4+ years of experience in digital design and digital verification
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, or related field and 6+ years of relevant experience.
- 6+ years of experience with modeling in languages such as SystemC / C++, or Simics / DML
- 6+ years of experience in digital design and digital verification

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
