We have an opening for a WCI Applications Program Administrator to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will work independently to plan, execute, and/or provide oversight to a variety of workforce, operational and organizational requirements and activities. This position is in the Weapons and Complex Integration (WCI) Principal Directorate.

In this role you will

  • Plan, execute, and/or provide oversight to a variety of workforce, operational and organizational requirements and activities for administrative matters.
  • Prepare a variety of reports for management decision making and review documentation for adherence to policy and ensure consistency.
  • Manage office space and telecommuting requirements for staff.
  • Organize and prioritize communications and calendar management for Program Manager.
  • Create and streamline processes for task management across Senior Management Team.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings and reviews, create, manage, and track agendas and agenda items for program enablement.
  • Review, execute, and administer a variety of personnel/recruiting related activities, for the work unit, ensuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
  • Collect, validate, interpret, and analyze business, operational and/or organizational planning data in support of strategic and/or workforce planning activities for the work unit.
  • Develop and implement plans to promote culture, diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • This position requires an active Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance or active Top-Secret clearance issued by another U.S. government agency at the time of hire.
  • AA degree or demonstrated competence obtained through a combination of experience, education, and/or training.
  • Experience leading the coordination of administrative and operational work activities and multi-faceted internal processes in a functional area.
  • Experience representing management to diverse internal and external contacts, communicating manager's direction.
  • Organizational skills, including detail oriented, flexibility and experience independently coordinating and prioritizing multiple and complex work activities, often with conflicting deadlines. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with short deadlines and frequent interruptions.
  • Experience interacting with all levels of personnel exercising a high degree of discretion, mature judgment, and tact in handling issues of a sensitive nature and demonstrated effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills necessary to effectively explain, present, direct, negotiate and influence others.
  • Effective analytical skills with the ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex issues effectively.
  • Working knowledge of automated business tools/techniques and expert use of MS Office applications and experience developing complex reports for use in management decision making.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and fostering an inclusive and equitable organization.
  • Understanding of principles of personnel administration, policies and procedures, and state and federal laws. Knowledge and understanding of HR compliance requirements for personnel administration (FLSA, ADA, EEO, etc.).

Security Clearance

LLNL is a Department of Energy (DOE) and National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Laboratory. Some positions will require a DOE L or Q clearance (please reference Security Clearance requirement above).
