We have an opening for a Coordinator/Technical Release Representative (TRR). You will provide technical and administrative support for the purchase, movement and disposition of materials, including mechanical hardware. You will be responsible for record keeping and delivery of goods. This position will work within the WCI Program TRR Team in support of the Programs within the Weapons and Complex Integration (WCI) Directorate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Make decisions regarding product alternatives, supplier selections and substitute hardware and materials using LLNL guidelines, techniques, and procedures.
- Coordinate and track materials for customers and jobs, working with technical personnel to develop and implement standards and specifications.
- Place, process, document and follow-up on all credit orders, including reconciliation requirements and procurements self-assessment audits.
- Process and procure mechanical systems, and use established techniques and procedures to provide detailed status updates and to resolve basic solutions to technical issues.
- Provide advanced coordination support of procurement deliverables and provide interface between LLNL and supplier, e.g., on time deliverables, milestone reviews, and complex technical resolutions during processing.
- Interact and communicate with vendors, requesters, and other associates in the work unit, LLNL Procurement, LLNL Receiving, and Program personnel.
- Log and report activities and tasks as required by Technical Release Representative Policy and Procedures Guidelines management and regularly provide detailed status updates to supervisor and customers/requesters.
- Provide resolution of vendor supply, obtain authorization for substitutions, job orders, and other related actions to resolve complex problems and ensure meeting scheduled deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate Degree in technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience in manufacturing/fabrication experience in an engineering field.
- Advanced understanding and experience applying purchasing, shipping/receiving, and property management policies and procedures. Ability to use good judgment when making decisions and solving problems.
- Experience in customer service or support organization and proven ability to interact with a diverse and demanding customer base.
- Advanced experience handling multiple projects and complex tasks with frequent interruptions and conflicting/changing priorities. Must be dependable, self-motivated, and possess proven ability to work independently as well as a team member.
- Effective written, verbal and presentation communication skills, and the interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with a diverse workforce.
- Effective communication skills to necessary to communicate with vendors and programmatic personnel.
- Advanced knowledge of office computer software, common operating systems, and common word processing, spreadsheet, and databases.
- Ability to acquire and maintain Technical Release Representative (TRR) certification.

Pre-Employment Drug Test:

External applicant(s) selected for this position will be required to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test. This includes testing for use of marijuana as Federal Law applies to us as a Federal Contractor.

Security Clearance:

This position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance. If you are selected, we will initiate a Federal background investigation to determine if you meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. In addition, all L or Q cleared employees are subject to random drug testing. Q-level clearance requires U.S. citizenship. If you hold multiple citizenships (U.S. and another country), you may be required to renounce your non-U.S. citizenship before a DOE L or Q clearance will be processed/granted
