Apple's Sales organization generates the revenue needed to fuel our ongoing development of products and services. This in turn, enriches the lives of hundreds of millions of people around the world. Our sales team, is in many ways, the face of Apple to our largest customers.

We're looking for a Government Strategy & Business Development executive who deeply understands the inner workings of state/provincial and local government, the market landscape and business drivers, and can develop and execute strategies to maximize Apple's impact across multiple use cases worldwide. You can sell directly, manage channel partners, and influence government thought-leaders. You have a track record for thinking creatively and driving innovation in government from concept to implementation. And you understand the unique aspects of how government procures and operates when developing go to market strategies. This position will report to the WW Head of Government Strategy and Programs at Apple, and will routinely interact with and present to senior leadership.

This is an outstanding entrepreneurial opportunity that has the potential to impact the growth of our WW Government business! The role will work across multiple job functions, verticals, and international groups within Apple.

Key Qualifications

  • 15 or more years working in and around state/provincial and local government
  • Ability to formulate clear go-to-market strategies, drive execution, and operate the business through cross-functional teams (internal and external partners).
  • Expertise in business development, strategy development and Client Relationship Management.
  • Passion for Apple and the positive impact of government.
  • Experience in a senior executive role in government and/or consulting
  • Strong leadership capabilities to marshal a diverse team to support government initiatives and sell the vision
  • Ability to navigate a very matrixes environment and collaborate with cross-functional groups and lead by influencing
  • Expertise in building business cases around market opportunities and partnerships, including strategy development, market segmentation, competitive analysis, and financial analysis.
  • Ability to develop executive level communications with market insights and post-mortem of offers/programs.

Description
- Have deep subject matter expertise in the State/Provincial and Local Government market across multiple lines of business, understanding buying behaviors and have a strategic vision for how government can modernize and transform
- Lead cross-functional efforts within Apple focused on government, modeling teamwork, collaboration, aggressiveness and thoughtfulness to bring the whole of Apple's capabilities to impact government
- Continually monitor and understand the evolving challenges and business drivers in state/provincial and local government
- Identify the key use cases where Apple can have the greatest scalable impact in government
- Maintain a strong network of and relationships with state/provincial government executives
- Work with WW sales teams to shape governments leaders' critical thinking around mobile use cases and their impact on how government operates
- Work with WW Sales teams to shape governments' understanding of Apple's value proposition, and help drive large business development efforts worldwide
- Work with cross-functional teams within Apple to develop government-focused programs
- Track and monitor business development efforts and programs, and provide leadership and coaching of sales teams to ensure success

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
-MBA preferred
