In Xe Architecture and IP Engineering (XAE), our mission is to deliver best in class Graphics, Compute, Multi-Media and Display IP on schedule with maniacal focus on performance per watt and performance per area with state of art features covering client, gaming and data center market.

This position is for Intel's GPU group. The team works on architecture modelling, performance feature exploration, and performance analysis of various workloads with the aim of increasing GPU performance multi-folds.

In this position you will help us with the following responsibilities:

• Development of cycle accurate simulator for microarchitecture and architecture feature exploration.

• Characterizing various workloads.

• Work closely with Software team to analyze end to end performance.

• Work closely with Hardware team on Pre-Si performance validation.

• Designs framework for particular functions.

• Defines, documents and tests processes for inclusion into technical platforms, subsystem specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility.

• Identifies, analyzes and resolves subsystem and/or SoC design weaknesses.

• Influences the shaping of future products by significantly contributing to the architecture used across design families.

• Quick learner.

• Willing to take ownership and lead on tasks, pro-active, good communication skills.

This is an entry level position and compensation will be given accordingly.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

• You must possess a Masters Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with 6 months of relevant experience OR PHD in the same field.

Your experience should be in the following:

• CPU architecture OR micro-architecture.

• Performance modeling.

• Software and Scripting skills (Windows/Unix C/C++, Python/Go).

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge and experience in the following:

• Modelling, Performance, and Projections.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$97,500.00-$146,340.00
