XPU Memory Architect, Principal Engineer

Intel AXG Architecture team is looking for a passionate and driven individual to help define and build the next generation of GPU Architectures. In this position, you will develop and analyze architecture and micro-architecture options for the GPU Memory sub-system, including caching, address translation, very-high BW internal fabrics, and optimal use of external memory technologies. You will work closely with senior architects and micro-architects and be exposed to the overall architecture of the GPU, and the Client and Server platforms in which it resides.Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Ensures platform and its components have the best performance and power balance specifically focusing on graphics hardware components.Research and development of next generation platform designs to continually improve the performance.Conducts system analysis on proprietary and competition platforms, develops advanced hardware tuning and overclocking.Behavioral traits that we are looking for:Strong verbal and written communication skills, and clarity in technical communications.Self-starter with the ability to work independently, and an aptitude to learn new things quickly.Proven ability to lead technical projects, working with multi-functional and cross-site groups.Demonstrated leadership skills needed to form and build teams, attract, coach, and develop architects and engineers, and establish functional quality development processes.Ability to work in a dynamic and team-oriented environment
Qualifications
Minimum
skills and experience: Candidate must have a Bachelor degree in
Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering or related field
with 15+ years of experience. OR a Master's degree in Computer
Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering or related field with 7+
years of experience. OR a Ph.D. in Computer Science,
Computer/Electrical Engineering or related field with 4+ years of
experience:Your experience should be in the following:Computer OR
Graphics OR Memory sub-system development (HW or SW)Computer OR
Graphics OR Memory sub-system Architecture OR
MicroarchitecturePreferred skills and experience:Experience in
parallel programmingSW development skills in C++, or similar
high-level languageHW/SW modeling and
simulation

$171,710.00-$274,890.00

Work Model for this Role
